So this has been all around pinterest and blog land.
One of the blogs I follow
Mrs. Mommy did this with her daughter a few weeks ago and made me really want to make some for Hudson. He loves to color and this was the perfect craft for us to do together.
*lean from my mistake. Spring for crayola, don't buy the cheap crayons. They are nearly impossible to remover the paper, even after soaking them in warm water*
**also, don't mind my pictures. They are all from my phone :/**
All ready to make some toddler crayon disks! |
We put them in warm water to help get the paper off. You know something is wrong when crayola crayons sink, but the cheap brand floats! |
Broke up all the crayons and put them in cupcake pans. Most are color coordinated, a couple I let Hudson put whatever colors he wanted to. |
I put them in the oven at 250 for about 15 minutes, until all the crayons are melted. |
I let them cool over night, and this is the end result. |
They were a big hit! |
So far he loves these. They are a little harder for him to put in his mouth which is a giant plus! This was a great activity, and so fun! These would even be a fun homemade gift.
Hi Lacie - Came across your blog a couple weeks ago and have been reading and following your posts! I LOVE finding other bloggers with little guys about the same age as mine. Hudson is such an adorable little guy and I look forward to all the fun ideas you will share here!
