Today im linking up again with Becky from @frommrstomama for show and tell monday
This week was all about babies and I just couldn't resist!
1. Tell us your favorite baby names? Aside from your own babies, if you have some.
I have a bunch of names that I totally love. It is very hard though when you have to name a child with your spouse! They always seem to hate your top favorite ones ;] lol
My favorite girl names:
Breckon, Delanie, Tatum, & Harper
My favorite boy names:
Hudson ;], Asher, Briggs, Thayer, Ollie, Tripp, Finn, Elijah, & Dash
Hudson ;], Asher, Briggs, Thayer, Ollie, Tripp, Finn, Elijah, & Dash
I think its hilarious that before Hudson I had a million girl names and couldn't think of a single boy name. But now that we have Hudson, all I think about are boy names and I can't remember half the girl names I loved!
2. Show me your "dream" nursery {can be your baby's nursery or one that you love}
first up Hudsons room:
Here are some dream nursery's via pinterest
3. How many children would you like to have? How far apart?
I would love 3! in my ideal fantasy land [that im well aware is only that, a fantasy] I would have another boy next then the third would be a girl. I wish they could have been exactly 2 years apart, but unless im somehow pregnant and don't know it that wont be happening. Im trying to talk the hubby into 2.5 years apart...3 max. My sister and I are 11 years apart, and I basically grew up an only child and I would love my kids close in age. Infact if it was up to me I would have had them 15-18 months apart ;) as for the gender order mostly becuase I would love to brothers close in age to be buddies, and it would save me money becuase we could reuse 80% of what we have for Hudson. I basically can't afford a girl yet. lol But by the time I have a third we will hopefully have the finances for a girl and she can have 2 older brothers to protect her!
4. Tell us what you think the importance of parenting is?
There for sure isn't just one important thing. Its lots of important things. I am in no way an expert here, but im learing. You have to be open to trying. You have to get rid of that image in your heard of the perfect child/parent. You have to just go with the flow. As long as you love your child, your doing the best of your ability, they are happy, and your are happy you are doing everything perfect!
5. Show us your favorite newborn photo {can be your children or random}
Hudsons newborns are ofcourse the ultimate newborns ;]
if I do say so myself

6. Tell us some things you promise to never do as a parent {if you are a parent, did you stick to it}
There are a few things that come to mind. I always swore my child would never watch TV. Then I had a boy! HAHA He doesn't watch a ton of TV, and frankly he doesn't have the attentionspan. But when I can get 20 minutes of peace while he watches Mickey Mouse, I will take it!
I always swore Hudsons wouldn't eat sugar, atleast till he was closer to age 4. I try on this one REALLY REALLY hard. But grandparents, and daddy don't seem to listen to me. It really drives me crazy, He is MY child, and what I say should be followed. But, they watch Hudson all week while I work and I have to learn that a cookie here in there isn't going to kill him.
those are two that come to mind right away anyways.
Love Hudson's nursery and I'm in love with the grey & orange nursery. Hudson's newborn pictures are adorable
ReplyDeleteThanks!! I know, Im in love with the grey/orange color scheme. Next baby for sure ;)
DeleteA friend of mine just named her little girl Brecklyn...reminded me of your name Breckon :-) I always liked Asher---I think that should be your baby boy #2 name hehe.
ReplyDelete...and you are so right---girls are expensive so save them for last! LOL
Thats so funny! My middle name is breckon, so I always have known I want to incorporate it in the name if I ever have a girl. & my mom and sisters middle name is lynn and we seriously considered brecklyn when we found out we were pregnant! crazy :)
DeleteAnd, I was 100% sure we were gonna name Hudson, Asher. It was one of our top 3, and we waited till he was born to name him. I was set on Asher. but then after Huddy Buddy was born there was a "sign" his name was Hudson lol. So ill be campaigning for Asher next time around
Your nursery is adorable---my car loving 20 month old would LOVE this room!!!!

Thanks! We didn't decorate this room till our son was about 14 months old since we had just bought our house. His love of cars was my inspiration haha!
DeleteSuch a sweet post. I was just thinking about some of these things last night. I love your names!
