Today's skin tip is You have to do more then just wash!
We would see this problem alot, people would come in saying "I wash my face with this every night and my skin still sucks". Well, just like you don't just brush your teeth you floss and mouth wash as well to make sure your teeth are white and healthy. The same goes for your skin.
When you only wash, your just removing the surface. The makeup/dirt/oils/debris. So once you have washed your face you haven't even touched your skin. After your face is clean, this is when you want to apply any of your treatment products (serums, masks,). If you don't have a specific treatment product, the next best thing is to just wash your face again. That way at least the ingredients of the face wash will be able to penetrate into your skin.
Also, make sure you are washing your face a minimum of two times a day. Once in the morning to clean off any dirt oils and sweat from the night before. And so you have a fresh surface to apply makeup onto. And another at night to clean off makeup and everything from the day. Also, it's a good idea to wash after any activity that makes you sweaty, such as going for a run, or any activity that exposes your face to certain chemicals, like chlorine when swimming.
Remember, my skin tips are little things iv'e learned in school and after. I will always try to give simple tips that will cost very little to nothing. Just things you can incorporate into your daily life to help your skin. Of course there are great products and treatments you can get, however most of those require a bit more money and maintenance. I may share some of those one day, just not for now.
